Overview
Kedarnath Temple Covered with white snow, most of the time & surrounded by giant mountains on the top of River Mandakini is that the abode of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath is found at the remotest location among all the Chota Char Dham. it’s located at a height of three ,583m from water level and therefore the distance between Kedarnath to Delhi is 295Km. it’s among the holiest pilgrimages for all Hindu devotees. The sanctuary is embellished with fascinating engraving which is written within the Pali language. The inner walls of the sanctum are adorned with beautiful figures of deities and legendary episodes of Mahabharata. Placed at an outsized rectangular platform, the fantastic shrine recites the story of Lord Shiva and therefore the Pandav brothers. After the legendary Mahabharata, the Pandav brothers visited the Lord to hunt forgiveness for killing their kins. However, the Lord wasn’t able to forgive them. He took the form of a Bull and tried hiding from the Pandavs. The intelligent brother spotted Him while he was fleeing away by forcing himself into the bottom . The Pandavs forced him out but the Lord left leaving his hump. Later, Lord Shiva was pleased by the determination of the Pandav and forgave them for his or her sins. He also allowed them to worship him at that spot where the hump was left. Afterward, the Pandavs built Kedarnath Temple on the mountains. it’s a standard belief that the black stone which is worshiped inside the temple is that the hump of the bull.
